STEVE KANG

Public Works, City of Los Angeles
Steve Kang is a full-time Commissioner on the Board of Public Works for the City of Los Angeles overseeing more than 5,500 employees with an annual budget of over $1 billion dollars to ensure the delivery of core city services and infrastructure projects leading up to the 2028 Summer Olympic Games. Prior to the appointment to the Board of Public Works, Commissioner Kang served as Director of External Affairs for Koreatown Youth & Community Center (KYCC), District Director in the California State Assembly, and Executive Director of the Korean American Coalition – Los Angeles (KAC-LA). Commissioner Kang holds a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia University and a Master of Science from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
