Angela Moon is an award-winning journalist with over 20 years of experience in reporting, writing, and editing for major news outlets worldwide. She currently oversees Bloomberg’s Breaking News operation, managing teams across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia to deliver accurate and timely news coverage within the crucial first 15 minutes. She has led her teams through some of the biggest news stories in recent years, including the global pandemic, the U.S. elections, and the crypto fallout. Angela is also the newsroom liaison for AI-driven initiatives, playing a pivotal role in integrating technology into journalistic practices.
Prior to heading the Breaking News division, Angela oversaw global legal affairs coverage, delivering the day’s most compelling stories at the intersection of law, finance, politics, and culture with smart, provocative, and thoughtful analysis. Her leadership was evident during the recent trials of Sam Bankman-Fried, Archegos’s Bill Hwang, and Donald Trump’s various legal challenges.
Before her time at Bloomberg, Angela spent more than a decade at Reuters, covering a range of beats, including Wall Street and technology. After completing her Knight-Bagehot Fellowship at Columbia University, where she earned a master’s degree in journalism, she launched Reuters’ first Social Media Breaking News team. She is also the author of Minutes from Wall Street, published in Seoul, Korea, where she covered North Korea and geopolitical issues as a correspondent.
