Philip Kim
Special Assistant to the President, Director of Political Engagement of The White House
Philip Kim currently serves as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Political Engagement in the White House Office of Political Strategy and Outreach. He has had the opportunity to serve in various roles across the Biden-Harris Administration, including as Special Assistant to the President and Director of Employee Engagement and Leadership Develop, Senior Advisor in the White House Office of Public Engagement, White House Liaison at AmeriCorps, and as Deputy Director of the Office of the White House Liaison at the U.S. Department of Education.
Prior to this Administration, Philip served on the Senate Confirmations team for the Biden-Harris Transition team and as Western Regional Deputy Director for the Biden-Harris campaign. He is an alum of the Democratic National Convention Committee Public Engagement team, the Democratic National Convention Political and Organizing team, and U.S. Senator Booker’s presidential campaign in Nevada. He is also a former secondary mathematics educator, a graduate of UC Berkeley, and a proud son of Korean immigrants. He currently lives in Maryland with his fiancé and two dogs.
